So sorry to read of your loss. He must have been a wonderful dog. I know how hard it is…I also lost one of my best friends to bone cancer. We also chose not to have her leg removed because of her age and because she also had two surgeries on one of her hind legs.

I think what you’re doing is great. We’re trying to do something similar at http://eBooksforCharity.com. It seems like a small thing, but a little money here, an hour of volunteering there, it all adds up and is much needed.

Thanks so much for everything you are doing.. I always feel like we should be doing more here.. I love the idea of the prison program, it seems like such an obvious thing to do..

Are you planning other places / times to bring the greys out to visit? I’ll make sure we let everyone know where you are going to be.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with our Greys yesterday!(: The jewelry is beautiful and we appreciate your support so much!(: Greys are incredible pets and we are very excited to be getting going in the Elkhart/Goshen area!(: The prison dogs we are involved with are organized by Second Chance at Life, a wonderful organization that coordinates and runs the prison programs. The greys are obedience trained for 10 weeks with inmates in an intensive program, and given lots of love. It is a wonderful program that gives the inmates hands experience with the dogs, and is an all around fabulous program for all. Please check out our current 7 that are in the program that will be coming out of the program on 4-1, and Lady who is currently in a foster home and available for adoption. hi you guys just came across your blog and love all your ideas. i had been thinking of doing something that would benefit animals. my pet duck is the “star” of my blog, …it didnt start out that way,lol and she is also a “rescue”.but i had always wanted to have her molted feathers dipped in gold or silver and then maybe made into a necklaces(etc) and then sold with the profits going to a animal charity.
